COCA-COLA CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE SLOVENIAN OLYMPIC MOVEMENT AND SPORT THROUGHOUT 2024

Coca-Cola HBC Slovenia and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia – Association of Sports Federations (OKS – ZŠZ) have signed a sponsorship agreement for the 2021–2024 period. In doing so, we renewed our commitment to support the Olympic Movement and the Olympic spirit in Slovenia. The beginning of the new four-year partnership term is marked by the Meals for Medals campaign, which encourages athletes to make healthier dietary choices and calls for an active lifestyle.

Coca-Cola has been supporting the Olympic Movement and promoting the Olympic Games to millions of consumers around the world continuously since 1928, thus maintaining the longest uninterrupted relationship with the Olympic movement and backing to the International Olympic Committee in the world. Coca-Cola’s ongoing cooperation with OKS – ZŠZ started in 2017. The renewed four-year contract provides a common basis to continue on our shared mission of supporting Slovenian sport and athletes.

Ruža Tomić Fontana, Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola HBC for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia, pointed out: “Coca-Cola is the longest-standing sponsor of the Olympic Movement, having supported every Olympic Games since 1928 at a global scale, and since 2017, we also support the activities in Slovenia. We are very pleased to be continuing our partnership with OKS – ZŠZ. Our support is about enabling Slovenia’s world-class athletes and communities to fulfil their potential.”

“I am delighted and proud that Coca-Cola remains part of the Slovenian Olympic family. From the very beginning, the company has supported the Olympic Committee of Slovenia at all levels – in sports, education and the protection of environment. I am confident that the next four years will be as successful as ever,” said Bogdan Gabrovec, President of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia – Association of Sports Federations.

The four-year contract with OKS – ZŠZ enables Coca-Cola to promote sport at the top competitive level, as well as at the local level. Moreover, it allows the promotion of recreational sport to all generations, along with engaging in a variety of joint promotional activities. The first in a series of campaigns is the three-month national Meals for Medals promotion campaign, which also includes a prize draw. The campaign stars kayaker Eva Terčelj, athlete Luka Janežič and sailor Žan Luka Zelko as ambassadors of the Coca-Cola brand and the company's values for healthier food choices and an active lifestyle.
