COCA-COLA HBC HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT MADE STRONG PROGRESS ON ITS MISSION 2025 SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENTS OVER THE LAST EIGHT YEARS.
THE COMPANY HAS ALSO LAUNCHED A FOCUSED SET OF FLAGSHIP COMMITMENTS AND MEASURABLE TARGETS THAT BUILD ON THIS PROGRESS AND WHAT IT HAS LEARNED SO FAR.
By the end of 2025, the company met or made significant progress on the majority of its Mission 2025 sustainability commitments. Of the 18 targets that it set, nine were delivered ahead of the target year and seven exceeded the commitments.
Together with our teams and partners, we advanced our sustainability efforts at scale. Mission 2025 has helped clarify where our actions can have the greatest impact - and it has reinforced a simple truth: lasting change requires focus, persistence, and the humility to keep learning. Our progress is greatest when we innovate alongside our partners and build solutions for all. I’m grateful to our teams and our partners for their commitment to open up a more sustainable future.
Zoran Bogdanović Chief Executive Officer
The company’s Mission 2025 achievements include the following:
Climate
Packaging
Water
Community Support
The company’s strong sustainability performance is recognised externally. Coca‑Cola HBC has been ranked for the ninth time as the world’s most sustainable beverage company in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook. It is also among the leaders of the global beverage industry across major benchmarks, including CDP’s A list for Climate and Water, ISS ESG, MSCI ESG, Morningstar Sustainalytics’ ESG and FTSE ESG.
The company has now launched Mission Refresh – a focused set of flagship sustainability commitments and measurable targets that will guide its actions in the years ahead.
These flagship commitments are long-term, ambitious and will help the company focus on where it can create the most positive impact.
Chief Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer, Karyn Harrington, explained that Mission Refresh is the next chapter of the company's sustainability story: "Mission Refresh reflects our continued commitment to creating value for our communities, partners and the environment while strengthening our resilience.
"Sustainability continues to be part of our growth story, and we’ll keep reporting with the transparency our stakeholders expect."
While Coca‑Cola HBC’s commitments define the overall direction, a set of measurable targets drives progress across all seven pillars of the company’s sustainability strategy: climate, packaging, water, agriculture, nutrition, biodiversity, and people and communities.
The baselines for the targets are anchored in the strongest data and recognised methodologies so that progress is comparable over time.
To demonstrate its ongoing dedication to transparent reporting and consistent delivery, the company will continue to track and publish its performance annually.
